About Tinnitus Practitioners Association

Mission
The Tinnitus Practitioners Association is a non-profit professional organization of audiologists dedicated to providing tinnitus and sound sensitivity care to their patients. The TPA supports their efforts through professional and practice development, education, research, and public awareness of tinnitus and sound sensitivity rehabilitation and prevention.

The Tinnitus Practitioners Board of Directors reviews, makes recommendations and provides guidance to the organization regarding protocols, program development and implementation, evaluation of certification, and provides public and professional awareness of the organization.

Association Members
Membership in the Tinnitus Practitioners Association requires specific credentials and a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Audiology from an accredited university. The majority of TPA members hold doctoral degrees in Audiology. Membership requires strict compliance with the Tinnitus Practitioners Association Code of Ethics which is similar in scope and purpose to ethical practice codes of other learned professions.
